Ranking users

Problem

Users quickly lose motivation to continue using the application.

Solution

Ranking users a public scale according to their achievements encourages users to use the application more frequently in order to improve their score and more successfully compete with other players. Social comparison with other users is proven to be effective in fostering sustainable behaviors. Pattern can be used in mobile or web applications.

Connected patterns

Monitoring progress and token consumption is a similar pattern with the difference of only focusing on a single user. A connected pattern is also Rewarding users with points, which can be used as a basis for their ranking.
